กรุงเทพฯ (5 มิถุนายน 2569) - กรุงศรี (ธนาคารกรุงศรีอยุธยา จำกัด (มหาชน)) ในเครือของมิตซูบิชิ ยูเอฟเจ ไฟแนนเชียล กรุ๊ป (MUFG) หนึ่งในกลุ่มสถาบันการเงินที่ใหญ่ที่สุดระดับโลก เดินหน้าขยายบทบาทในธุรกิจดาต้าเซ็นเตอร์ พร้อมให้การสนับโครงการดาต้าเซ็นเตอร์อย่างต่อเนื่อง เพื่อส่งเสริมการพัฒนาโครงสร้างพื้นฐานเชิงยุทธศาสตร์ที่สำคัญในการขับเคลื่อนเศรษฐกิจดิจิทัล สะท้อนการเป็นพันธมิตรทางการเงินที่พร้อมสนับสนุนลูกค้า ธุรกิจ และประเทศไทยให้เติบโตอย่างยั่งยืน

 

ทั้งนี้ กรุงศรีได้ต่อยอดกลยุทธ์ดังกล่าวสู่ผลลัพธ์เชิงรูปธรรม โดยในเดือนพฤษภาคม 2569 ธนาคารได้ดำเนินธุรกรรมทางการเงินให้กับโครงการดาต้าเซ็นเตอร์จำนวน 2 โครงการ สะท้อนศักยภาพและความเชี่ยวชาญในการสนับสนุนโครงสร้างพื้นฐานดิจิทัลขนาดใหญ่ ได้แก่ การให้สินเชื่อโครงการ (Project Finance) แก่โครงการร่วมทุนระหว่าง บริษัท ดิจิทัล เอดจ์ (สิงคโปร์) โฮลดิ้งส์ จำกัด (Digital Edge) และ บริษัท บี.กริม เพาเวอร์ จำกัด (มหาชน) หรือ BGRIM และ โดยเป็นส่วนหนึ่งของสินเชื่อเพื่อสิ่งแวดล้อม (Green Loan) มูลค่า 880 ล้านดอลลาร์สหรัฐ เพื่อสนับสนุนการพัฒนาโครงการขนาด 100 เมกะวัตต์ในจังหวัดชลบุรี ซึ่งจะรองรับการพัฒนาศูนย์ข้อมูลขนาดใหญ่ในพื้นที่เขตพัฒนาพิเศษภาคตะวันออก (EEC) นอกจากนี้ กรุงศรียังได้ให้การสนับสนุนทางการเงินแบบทวิภาคี (Bilateral Financing) แก่ผู้ให้บริการดาต้าเซ็นเตอร์ชั้นนำระดับโลกจากประเทศญี่ปุ่น เพื่อรองรับการขยายการลงทุนในประเทศไทย และเสริมสร้างความแข็งแกร่งของระบบนิเวศดิจิทัลทั้งในระดับประเทศและระดับภูมิภาค นอกเหนือจากการนำเสนอโซลูชันทางการเงิน กรุงศรียังได้จัดสัมมนาสำหรับลูกค้าธุรกิจและนักลงทุน เพื่อเป็นเวทีแลกเปลี่ยนองค์ความรู้และมุมมองจากผู้เชี่ยวชาญ โดยมุ่งเน้นการอัปเดตเทรนด์และโอกาสการลงทุนในธุรกิจศูนย์ข้อมูล (Data Center) รวมถึงอุตสาหกรรมที่เกี่ยวข้องในประเทศไทย เพื่อสนับสนุนการสร้างเครือข่ายทางธุรกิจ และต่อยอดการพัฒนาอุตสาหกรรมดาต้าเซ็นเตอร์ให้เติบโตอย่างยั่งยืน

These include project finance for a joint venture between Digital Edge (Singapore) Holdings Pte. Ltd. and B. Grimm Power Public Company Limited (BGRIM), forming part of an USD 880 million green loan to finance the development of the joint venture’s 100MW project in Chonburi, supporting a large-scale data center development in Thailand’s Eastern Economic Corridor (EEC). Krungsri also provided bilateral financing to a leading Japanese data center operator, to support its continued expansion in Thailand and strengthen the digital ecosystem across both national and regional levels. In addition to financing activities, Krungsri has organized seminars for corporate clients and investors as a platform for knowledge sharing and expert dialogue.
