เตรียมจัดอย่างยิ่งใหญ่ครั้งแรก! ใน “ประเทศไทย” กับ “ISTH 2024”  (International Society on Thrombosis and Haemostasis: ISTH) หรือการประชุมวิชาการประจำปี ด้านภาวะลิ่มเลือดอุดตัน การห้ามเลือด และชีววิทยาหลอดเลือด ครั้งที่ 32 โดยองค์การสากลเกี่ยวกับลิ่มเลือดอุดตันและกลไกการห้ามเลือด (ISTH) ต้อนรับผู้เชี่ยวชาญทางการแพทย์และวิทยาศาสตร์กว่า 1,000 คนจากทั่วโลก ครอบคลุมพื้นที่จัดงานกว่า 70% และนับว่าเป็นการประชุมทางด้านการแพทย์ที่ใหญ่ที่สุดที่เคยจัดที่ศูนย์ฯ สิริกิติ์

การประชุม ISTH 2024 รวบรวมการอภิปรายทางวิทยาศาสตร์ การค้นพบครั้งสำคัญ การจัดแสดงนวัตกรรมล่าสุดในอุตสาหกรรมการแพทย์ การแลกเปลี่ยนองค์ความรู้และความก้าวหน้าของเทคโนโลยีทางการแพทย์ จากผู้เชี่ยวชาญชั้นนำทั้งในและต่างประเทศ เพื่อสร้างโอกาสในการสร้างเครือข่ายวิชาชีพ และยกระดับคุณภาพชีวิตผู้ป่วย ซึ่งการประชุมนานาชาตินี้ถือเป็นการกลับมาของ ISTH ในภูมิภาคเอเชีย หลังจากการประชุมที่เกียวโต ประเทศญี่ปุ่นในปี 2011 และเป็นการจัดครั้งแรกในประเทศไทย ที่สะท้อนให้เห็นถึงศักยภาพของบุคลากร นวัตกรรมทางการแพทย์ และระบบสุขภาพชั้นนำในภูมิภาคเอเชียตะวันออกเฉียงใต้

ศาสตราจารย์ นายแพทย์พันธุ์เทพ อังชัยสุขศิริ ประธาน ISTH 2024 ประจำปี 2567 – 2569 และหัวหน้าหน่วยโลหิตวิทยา ภาควิชาอายุรศาสตร์ คณะแพทยศาสตร์โรงพยาบาลรามาธิบดี กล่าวว่า “การที่ประเทศไทยได้รับเลือกให้เป็นเจ้าภาพจัดการประชุม ISTH 2024 ได้สะท้อนถึงศักยภาพของที่ตั้งทางยุทธศาสตร์ของภูมิภาค ในฐานะ ‘ศูนย์กลางการรวบรวมนวัตกรรมสำหรับอุตสาหกรรมทางการแพทย์ และวิทยาศาสตร์’ การประชุมครั้งนี้เป็นโอกาสสำคัญสำหรับชุมชนวิทยาศาสตร์ และคลินิกในภูมิภาคเอเชียแปซิฟิก ในการสร้างผลกระทบอย่างยั่งยืนต่อการป้องกัน วินิจฉัย และรักษาภาวะการแข็งตัวของเลือด และการห้ามเลือด อันนำไปสู่การกำหนดทิศทางของการปฏิบัติด้านการดูแลสุขภาพทั่วโลกในด้านดังกล่าว”
